Angry Owl against Full MoonI’ve resurrected my old blog at Crabby Night Owl. This is a personal blog, and it’ll be more of me and my life. The Varo Edition is now where I work out the tension between the lands of Science and Religion, and where I explore topics on the fringes of each land. I don’t know where we’ll end up, but I do know that it’ll be a fascinating journey!

As of this entry, Crabby Night Owl is live. However, my first post, Blog: Interrupted, is a simple introduction, and you can, in fact, skip it altogether if you want. I mean, if you have something more interesting to do than reading my blogs, that’s okay. Really, it is. I’ll just go off in the corner over there and pout, and wait until you’ve got the time to read it. It’s really good, for a personal blog, and all. I’ve even cut out most of the swearing.

Strange Attractor: Julia Set Chaos is everywhere, especially if you look for it.

So, here’s the scoop: I’ve found a niche for The Varo Edition. Starting with my next post, I’ll be focusing on that twilight area that lies between Science and Religion. I’ll be straddling on that keen edge that seems to separate Simple Faith and Rational Thought.

I’ll try to stay anchored in the familiar, but I’ll likely stray into the fringe areas like the controversy surrounding this site’s namesake. Creation vs. Evolution, Atheist vs. Christian, and the freakiness of Quantum Mechanics are some of the topics that I’ll tackle. The underlying theme: Absence of proof is not proof of absence, just as the existence of proof is not proof of existence.

So, in the very near future, here at The Varo Edition, you may notice changes to the site occurring before your very eyes, especially if you’ve been following my recently sparse posts. I’ll be dusting off my old personal blog at Crabby Night Owl to sort of corral my personal posts in a different place, away from the oddness that will likely be cultivated at The Varo Edition. (As of this entry, Crabby Night Owl is still off-limits to guests. I’ll post when it’s up and running.) I’ll eventually be migrating most of my personal posts from The Varo Edition over to CNO, or at least duplicating them there. Search engines don’t like the duplicating, but I’ll deal with that.

    So yeah. Rock on!
